Bluebird Stroll - Sunday, March 22nd, 2015

‘Inviting Bluebirds to Nest in Your Backyard’ with Master Wildlife Conservationist Fred Lowman
Sunday, March 22nd at 1:00pm

Master Wildlife Conservationist Fred Lowman will give an informal lecture and lead a short walk on Sunday, March 22nd, at 1:00pm at the Farmington Land Trust’s Carey Pasture parcel. Fred Lowman has been monitoring bluebird nest boxes on his property in Barkhampsted for several years. After his demonstration and talk, Fred will lead a focused walk to help identify and spot these beautifully colored thrushes and learn how to attract them to your backyard. Find out which sites attract bluebirds and what types of birdhouses they prefer to nest in. Fred will he share his success stories as we stroll across the Land Trust’s Carey Pasture Parcel on Mountain Spring Road.

We will meet at the FLT Carey Barn (second driveway on the right, going north on Mountain Spring Road from Route 4).
This event is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome. No pets please. Rain or Shine.

Please call or email the FLT office to RSVP!
