Fishing Pier Under Water .jpg

Where We Are Now

We believe that the land belongs to all of us. When our Accessible Fishing Pier became unusable due to the changing path of the Farmington River, we partnered with DEEP, the Lower Farmington River and Salmon Brook Wild and Scenic organization, New Horizons Village as well as the Town of Farmington to rebuild it.

We are currently working to construct a new boardwalk, and to restore the bank where our existing pier is so that they that will withstand the elements and make it easier to access the river.

Our Vision

To build an accessible boardwalk for all to enjoy. People of all ages, and mobility will be able to enjoy the beauty of the Farmington River and reap the benefits of being in nature.

Located directly off of the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail in Unionville, this serene spot will be used as a place to rest, fish, and access the river safely.
