The Steward  is the Farmington Land Trust’s biannual newsletter. It includes news of recent land trust accomplishments; notice of upcoming events and themed strolls, and hikes open to the public; and items that we hope will help inspire its readers to become better stewards of their own properties. We are always looking for new ideas and for contributions from writers, photographers, and visual artists.

The Steward is edited by Steve Silk, a former photographer and travel writer at the Hartford Courant and a past Managing Editor of Fine Gardening magazine. He is also a past president of the Connecticut Horticultural Society.

Steve’s outdoor pursuits include cross country and alpine skiing, whitewater kayaking, building with stone, and gardening. He lived in Farmington for more than 20 years. You may reach him at silk.steve@icloud.com
