Hike the Cowles Parcel

the day after Thanksgiving
November 23rd, 11 am

Join us for a gentle "working off the turkey" hike hosted by Evan Cowles, whose family owned the parcel for many years prior to it's donation to the Land Trust. Evan will tell us about the geology, settling of the land and the fascinating allure of the area for artists.

The hike to the juncture of the Pequabuck and Farmington Rivers is about 1/3 mile. For those looking to get in their 10,000 steps, Bruce Edgren will offer a further hike to the crew boathouse and back.

Meet at Cowles Parcel parking lot off Meadow Road, Farmington, located just past the stone arch bridge over the Pequabuck River
Waterproof footwear is highly recommended
No pets please.  Heavy rain or snow cancels
