Celebrate Connecticut Trails Day

FLT  Hike
at the
Shade Swamp White Trail

Sunday, June 3rd at 9 a.m.

Shade Swamp Sanctuary - White Trail

The 800-acre state-owned preserve, which is now maintained by the Farmington Garden Club, is a wonderful natural area in the heart of Farmington.  Expect to see streams, ponds, wetlands, a whole host of ferns, and the wildlife which this habitat supports.

Naturalist Diane Tucker will lead the way. An avid birder, botanist and nature enthusiast, Diane always enjoys finding something new in nature and sharing it with others.
Meet at the Department of Environmental Protection sign on the north side of route 6 just west of New Britain Avenue.

Bring the whole family.

Connecticut is proud to host the largest National Trails Day® celebration in the nation. Plan on getting your heart pumping, and celebrate the thousands of miles of trails in Connecticut with us.
