Ticks

Sunday, March 3rd, 2:30 PM

Farmington Community and Senior Center

Join State Entomologist, Dr. Kirby Stafford III  to learn about these ubiquitous and frequently illness-carrying pests.

Any dog owner, gardener, hiker or camper has firsthand experience with ticks. As the cold weather wanes, it's time to educate ourselves with the latest information on these pests. Dr Stafford's work as the Chief Entomologist at the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station afford him the expertise to guide us through what's new about ticks.

Does this year's harsh winter offer some protection?
Are there practical prevention measures we should take?
Can I tick-proof my garden?
How do I best remove a tick from a pet or a person?

We expect this to be a very well attended event, please RSVP .
