Calling All Videographers ages 12-18! If you live in the original Farmington township (Avon, Berlin, Bristol, Burlington, Farmington, New Britain, Plainville, or Southington), you can enter our 2nd Annual Filmmaker’s Contest. Work alone or as a team to develop a video no longer than three minutes in length with themes focusing on the natural environment like:

  • Health Benefits of Open Space
  • Conservation
  • Recreation
  • Habitat
  • Beauty
Videos must include footage from a Connecticut Land Trust property. Accompanying music or dialog must be original or open source. Use of license-protected sources without license will be rejected (e.g. don’t sample popular music tracks). TikTok video entries must be a minimum of 60 seconds for consideration and uploaded as a YouTube link.

Deadline for all submissions is January 15, 2021. After the deadline, videos will be reviewed by a panel of judges for originality and demonstration of the mission and values of the FLT. Three top winners will receive cash prizes of $500/$250/$100 to be awarded at our 2nd Annual Fall Film Festival.

Submit videos to ed.farmingtonlandtrust@gmail.com as a YouTube link. Entrants should request a delivery receipt on their email submission to assure delivery. Entries must include a completed Video Contest entry form or will not be judged.
