Black bear sightings and encounters are on the rise, even in heavily populated residential areas. All Farmington residents should take time to become “Bear Aware” and learn about best practices for reducing the likelihood of an encounter with a bear –and what to do in the event of an encounter.

Please join the Farmington Land Trust as we host fifth-grade students from West Woods Upper Elementary School, who will present their award-winning Bear Aware film projects. Following the films, students will take questions from the audience.
